Tasting Notes: Grapefruit, Lemon, Mandarin Oranges, Tea
This is a special coffee from around Mount Kilimanjaro in the Mbeya region of Tanzania. It is a peaberry which means these little beans pack a lot of juicy flavors! Peaberries are also a great platform for a Nordic (fast and light) style roast which brings out the fruitiness of this bourbon peaberry bean. This has a bit more body than a traditional Ethiopian or Kenyan with more citrus flavors vs berry flavors of other africans. This one has a very nice, complex, juicy flavor and has quickly moved to one of my favorites from the first roast. I was able to grab a full 132 lb bag of this, so it should be with us a for a bit.
* I would highly recommend that you let this on sit for at least a week after you receive it. You could actually let it sit from 2 weeks to a month to really bring out the juicy flavors of this bean. Nordic style roasts need a bit more time to come into their own
