This is a very exciting opportunity that comes around once a year! La Laurina is exceptional because it is a naturally occurring low-caffeinated coffee and growing it is famously difficult. Its lack of caffeine - a natural pesticide for coffee plants - makes Laurina more susceptible to insect damage. This lack of defense makes this a very fragile coffee plant, and it was on the brink of extinction until recent years.
The fact that Laurina is a unique alternative to decaffeinated coffee - and produces an elegant cup profile - has captured our attention! Expect a delicate cup with excellent clarity, long and round with sweet and spicy notes.
