Tasting Notes: Caramel, Dried Cherry, Hazelnut, Nougat
The Tod’s Coffee Crew has been asking for a decaf offering and we’ve finally found one that meets our high standards. This is an outstanding decaf that we will always have on the menu, so feel free to subscribe and always have a bag on hand no matter what time of day you have a Tod’s Coffee craving!
Tip: If you don’t drink decaf often, place the bag in an airtight container (freezer bag, Tupperware, etc) and put it in the freezer. Take out and grind what you need, put the bag back in the freezer each time, and the beans will stay fresh for months.
Our Columbia Excelso was decaffeinated in Colombia using an organic compound derived from sugar cane to remove 97% of the caffeine from coffee beans. The process tends to leave a pleasantly sugary flavor. By nature, this process leaves the beans a bit darker before roasting. Although they will appear darker than normal, rest assured that these beans are a medium roast.
